CHELMSFORD - Ethel E. (Ferguson) Kirk, a longtime resident of Chelmsford and formerly of Burlington, passed away at Lowell General Hospital Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the age of 81.

She was the beloved wife of Charles E. Kirk for 45 years prior to his death in 2014.
Born in Malden on March 26, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Ethel G. (Shields) Ferguson. Ethel was raised in Burlington and was a graduate of Burlington High School where she played basketball. She was employed for many years as an inspector at Frequency Sources, before moving to Dunkin Donuts, retiring in 2012. Ethel loved music and dancing. She looked forward to watching the Country Music Awards, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. She also loved her trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun with her sisters. Above all, Ethel cherished her family, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ethel is survived by her children; William Lombardi and his wife, Cathy, Margaret Spinazola and Lisa Lombardi, her grandchildren; Derek Lombardi and his wife Colleen, Dylan Lombardi, William Spinazola, John Tedder, Kerianne Cook and her husband Mike, and Chad Fellows, and great-grandchildren; Blake, Chase, Aiden, Delaney and Gavin. She also leaves her siblings; Paul Ferguson and his wife Fiddle, George Ferguson and Raemary, June Higgins, and Kay Lundin and her husband Jack, Raymond and Donna Hrinchuk and Peggy and Mark Lynch, sister-in-law, Bernice Ferguson and her very dear friend Sis Gardner and many nieces and nephews. She was sadly predeceased by her siblings; Billy Ferguson and his wife Pat, Teddy Ferguson, Johnny Ferguson, Carol Kerrigan and her husband, Frank and brother-in-law Tom Higgins.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 11 am, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
