Pauline F. (McCoy) Cogger, a resident of Chelmsford for over 30 years, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley, N. Billerica, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Francis P. Cogger with whom she recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
She was born in Lowell on December 12, 1935, and was a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Mack) McCoy.
Pauline was raised in Lowell and graduated from St. Margaret's School and Keith Hall. She then went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from the Catherine Laboure School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for over 50 years and worked in many capacities including the Health Department for the City of Lowell for over 20 years. Pauline was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed musicals. She loved traveling and camping throughout the United States and abroad. Pauline was a loving wife and mother who cherished her time spent with her family.
In addition to her loving husband, Pauline leaves her children; Thomas F. Cogger and his wife Dawn of Sheffield, VT, Rosemarie Rigsby and her husband Kevin of Chelmsford, Timothy Wellingford of Phoenix, AZ, and Donna Desmarais of Lowell, her grandchildren; Diana Cogger, Kira Cogger, and Kevin P. Rigsby II, her nephew Arthur Foster, Jr., and her sisters-in-law Anne Foster of Braintree and Jean Cogger of North Conway, NH.
Sadly she is predeceased by her son Michael P. Cogger.
At Pauline's request, services and interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854.
