Peter was raised on the family apple farm in Chelmsford. He graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical High School where he studied to be a machinist. He was recently recognized for his 40 years at Lavelle Machine. Peter loved the ocean and his favorite places were Aruba and the family beach house in Salisbury. Peter will be deeply missed by his wife, Denise (Lavelle) Lupien, and children; Mark Lupien and his wife Elizabeth of Westford and Kelly Flanders and her husband Derek of Pepperell, his grandchildren; Olivia, Alexys, Isabella, Alex, Hannah and Kyle. He also leaves his brothers; Ernest Lupien of Chelmsford, Leon Lupien and his wife Michelle of Winter Haven, FL, and sisters; Ursula McAllister and her husband Stephen of Chelmsford, and Monica Whisman and her husband Robert of Port St. Lucie, FL, his many dear friends and extended family, especially the ones he was closest to, Ed Lavelle, Sr. and Gary Lavelle, who lovingly referred to him as "Lupe", many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and his devoted grand-dog, Chloe. Peter was sadly predeceased by his sister Ingrid Lupien.

George and I have shared many wonderful adventures together with Peter, Denise, the "LSS Club" gang, and family. We got to know his Mom through her memorable cookies and German potato salads at the summer house and as she supplied the Nashoba Players. He shared his life and family with all. He was a strong volley ball player each Sunday decades ago, as we all tore up lawns and then jumped into the cold waters at "the rock" in the park afterwards. We enjoyed so many adventures, on boats, at beaches, in pools, at bbq's, and family gatherings. He was a thread in the fabric of many lives. Our last adventure with Peter was on the Bermuda cruise in June 2018. Ever the gentleman, he will be sorely missed by so very many people whose lives he touched with his soft spoken fun loving demeanor. Rest in peace dear friend.
