Obituary

Steven P. D'Amelio, a resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Lowell General Hospital on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 53. He was the beloved husband of Julie B. (Ciccarelli) D'Amelio with whom he recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

Born in Lowell on February 13, 1966, he was a son of Ralph and Mary (Barbour) D'Amelio of Chelmsford.

Steven grew up in Billerica and was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School, where he played quarterback for the football team. He had a very successful career in high tech sales. He also managed many residential construction projects over the years.

Steven loved New England sports, especially the Patriots, and enjoyed hosting the family super bowl parties. He also loved a good snow storm, cooking, and a winning game of Blackjack. He was very devoted to his dogs, his yellow lab, Calvin, and his beagle, Buddy, who passed away five years ago. Most of all, Steven cherished spending time with his beloved wife and his family.

In addition to his wife, Julie, Steven will be lovingly remembered by his siblings; Ralph D'Amelio, Ann Durso and her husband Nicholas, John D'Amelio and his wife Mary, Michael D'Amelio, all of Chelmsford, his nieces and nephews; Gina, Ashley, Patrick, Justin, Dan, Alexandria, Daniel, Stephanie and Samantha, and his great-nephew, Hunter. He also leaves his in-laws; Robert and Barbara Ciccarelli of Andover, Ann and Eric Tangard of Middleton, Karen Ciccarelli of Andover, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 1, 2019 from 9 am to 11 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11 am at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
