Obituary

Teresa (Maguire) Moran of Chelmsford passed away peacefully and with dignity and grace on Saturday July 20, 2019 surrounded by her four children, after 86 years of love and laughter. Her last hours were spent surrounded by loved ones to whom she shared her wisdom, and displayed her love and sense of humor. It was, in her words, “a good ending.”

Teresa was born on November 21, 1932 in County Leitrim, Ireland, the youngest of 11 children to Dominick and Catherine Maguire. Teresa immigrated to America in 1956, and moved to Chelmsford with her family in 1970. She worked for many years at Bradlees and Filenes. Teresa loved gardening, baking (especially Irish soda bread), yoga, music, traveling, a day at the beach, dancing, spending time with her family, and a strong cup of tea.

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Michael Moran; her parents and her 10 siblings. She is survived by her four children: Linda Moran and husband John Migliorini of Chelmsford, Charlotte and Peter Ott of Stow, MA, Michael and Danielle (Rachich) Moran of Harvard, MA, and Cindy Moran and husband Tom Vanderhoeven of Longmont, CO. She was a beloved Nana to ten grandchildren: Micah and Mia Migliorini; Jeffrey, Erica and Grace Ott; Sabine, Rowen and Shane Moran, and Maeve and Finn Moran-Vanderhoeven; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 25th from 4 to 7 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 26th at 11 am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH.

Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.

Met Teresa through the Thurs. yoga class....nicest lady. It meant a lot when she recommended her snowplow guy to me when I had a hard time finding someone, AND, made a special call to me when I broke both my arms 2 1/2 years ago. We shared many a conversation at the then round table before yoga. May you RIP sweet lady!!!!
