Bradley G Nelson Obituary (1957 - 2018)

Bradley G. Nelson, 60, of Westford, MA, passed away at Brigham & Womens Hospital on February 7th 2018, after a hard-fought battle against Pulmonary Fibrosis. Brad is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ann Gallagher Nelson, his two sons Brian and Michael and their respective wives, Laura and Brittany. He had one grandson, Holden, whom he adored. Brad is also survived by his siblings, Connie Severin, Linda Nelson, and Scott Nelson. Preceding his death are his parents Levi and Grace Nelson. In addition to his sense of humor and generosity, Brad was an avid Boston sports fan, amateur poet, and loved to travel. Hard work and education were always important to him, obtaining his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, a masters degree at Bentley, and later participating in studies at Harvard. In 1979, Brad moved from Minnesota to Lynn, MA to work at GE, where he met the love of his life, Ann, and the two started their family together in 1982. After GE, Brad moved on to Digital Equipment Corporation, and later became an executive at AltaVista, OpenMarket, E-Parcel, Netegrity, and Computer Associates. Brad ended his career at Fidelity Investments where he worked at the time of his death. Throughout Brads life, his home was always open to all, whether it was to hangout by the pool, having bonfires, or shooting billiards. The moments he spent with his friends and family were the moments most important to Brad. Visiting hours will be held on Monday February 12, 2018 from 4 until 8 PM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, 107 North Main Street, WESTFORD. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, WESTFORD.
