Elia Veronica 'Lee' Gonyer Obituary (1920

Chelmsford -- Elia "Lee" Veronica (Locapo) Gonyer of Chelmsford passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011. She was the widow of Alfred G. Gonyer who died December 8, 1957. A daughter of Joseph and Caterina (Vitucci) Locapo, Elia was born in Westford on October 6, 1920. She was employed by Raytheon Company, Andover, for many years until her retirement in 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Hayton of Chelmsford; her brother Elias (Al) Locapo of Macon, Georgia; and her sister Elda Lafleur of Scituate, Rhode Island, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Andrew Locapo, Adam Locapo, Abel Locapo, Dominic Locapo, Leonora Sheehan, Lena Spano, Eva Ouellette, and Catherine Boland. It being her wish, there was no visitation, and burial services were private. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
