Francis B. Molloy, Sr. Obituary (1928

CHELMSFORD- Francis B. Molloy, Sr., 80, a longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away on July 18, 2009 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Francis was born on November 5, 1928 in Lowell a son of the late Francis B. and Evelyn (Mevis) Molloy. He was a veteran of the National Guard and was the Vice President and Loss Control Account Manager of Boiler & Machinery for CNA Commercial Insurance Company. Francis was a member of the National Association of Power Engineers and served as Treasurer and President of the Lowell Chapter. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America Troop #77 and Cub Master for Pack #45. He was a communicant at St. Mary Church. His hobbies include building model airplanes and reading. He is survived by his wife Marguerite (McKenna) Molloy and their four children Francis B. Molloy Jr. of Chelmsford; Peter J. Molloy of Chelmsford, Stephen L. Molloy and his wife Shannon of Harvard and Suzanne M. Politano and her husband Remo of Acton as well as two grandchildren Alyson and Marissa. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday at 9 o'clock at St. Mary Church. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Francis' name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. 5th floor, Boston, MA 02210.
