Richard H. Harrington Jr. Obituary (1962 - 2017)

HUDSON, NH- Richard H. Harrington, Jr., 55, a resident of Hudson, NH, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday December 24, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Nancy R. (Lynah) Harrington with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. He was born in Boston on February 4, 1962, and was the son of Richard H. Harrington, Sr. and his wife Marjorie of Nashua, and the late Sheila A. (Hoban) Harrington. Richard was employed in research and development for Worthen Industries in Nashua, NH for the past 15 years. Prior to his employment at Worthen, he had worked for over 20 years at Raffi and Swanson, Inc. in Wilmington. He was a communicant of St. Kathryn Church in Hudson, NH. Richard was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, jet skiing, watching sports and most of all attending and watching Heather play soccer and basketball, and teaching Haleigh her culinary skills. He always liked just being at home, landscaping his yard and spending time by his pool with his family. In addition to his loving wife, Richard is survived by two cherished daughters; Haleigh R. and Heather E. Harrington both of Hudson, NH, his parents, Richard and Marjorie Harrington, his brother; Thomas Harrington and his wife Sara of Chelmsford, his sister; Eileen Pugh and her husband Claude of Douglasville, GA, his mother in-law; Ruth Ann Lynah of Chelmsford, brothers in-law; Gary Lynah and his wife Jeannette of Westford and Brian Lynah of Boston, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to his mother Sheila, he was predeceased by his father in-law George C. Lynah. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4-8 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
