Stephen M. Ferreira

Stephen M. Ferreira, 60, died unexpectedly at home in Tyngsboro, MA on January 31, 2026. He was born on November 19, 1965 in Lowell, MA to the late Norbert Ferreira and Hedy Colburn. He attended Billerica Public Schools until high school, where he attended Austin Prep. He went on to graduate from Springfield College, where he played Lacrosse, and completed his Masters Degree at Suffolk University School of Business. He had been a successful executive with the Dole Food Corporation.

Stephen had an unforgettable smile and one of the biggest hearts. He was an avid sports enthusiast, both as a participant in his healthy years and more recently as a spectator. He took part in many triumphant triathlons successfully.

Besides his devoted mother, he also leaves behind a brother, Philip Ferreira and his wife, Sue; two nephews, Phil and Matthew Ferreira; three children; his cousin and best friend, Stuart MacFadgen along with aunts and many cousins. He will also be sorely missed by his kind and thoughtful caretakers, Rene Asobo, Henry Achu and Krystal Monge.

Services will be private. There will be a celebration of life in the Spring.
