Steven B Fletcher Obituary (1958 - 2015)

Steven B. Fletcher, 56 of Chelmsford Our beloved Steven passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. Steven enjoyed gardening, bicycling and kayaking. He loved traveling with his wife and precious dog Sophie to various locations along the New England coast, particularly Wells, Maine. Spending time with his two daughters and seven grandchildren brought him great joy. He was a member of Laborers Local Union 223 and was employed for 14 years by T.J. McCartney of Nashua, NH who, throughout Stevens illness, was amazingly supportive and we thank them for their kindness. Steven took great pride and satisfaction from his work and spoke often and kindly of his fellow union workers and supervisors. He leaves his wife Mary Ann (Colley) of Chelmsford, daughters Jennifer Fletcher (Angel Bernard) of Ayer and Stefanie Lurvey (Keith) of Groton, his brother Ken Fletcher, three sisters and their husbands, Priscilla and Peter Stephens, Marsha and Don Batchelder and Karen and Jeff Demuth, seven grandchildren: Luis, Julia, Vanessa, Olivia, Keith Jr., Kyle and Ashlyn and aunt, Frances Fletcher of Westford. Also, 8 nieces and nephews, many cousins as well as dear friends and he was the son of the late Dana and Muriel Fletcher. Steven and his loving wife Mary Ann would have celebrated their 19th anniversary on September 6th. We all loved Steven, husband, father, grandfather and baby brother. He will live in our hearts forever with wonderful memories. A memorial service will be held at Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St. Chelmsford on Saturday August 29th at noon.
